     We will say the names of all Black, Brown, oppressed, and poor people who have been brutalized and killed in San Diego by the U.S. Criminal Justice System from 1985 to 2019. (From Gloria Verdieu’s book Black August:1619-2019, La Lucha Por Socialismo, 2019.)

A Zoom Poetry Reading & Open Mic

The Brigade is in solidarity with Stacy Abrams, The New Georgia Project, Seed the Vote,

Black Lives Matter, The Spacebar, The World Beat Center, & Activist San Diego.

     Members of the San Diego, Tijuana ReEvolutionary Poets Brigade will read original poems to protest and cease police brutality and racism. Guest speakers Gloria Verdieu & Yusef Miller, will talk for 10 minutes on Black Lives Matter Issues.  Guest poets Delores Fisher and Mark Lipmann will also read original poems. Each Brigade poet has 2 poems or 5 minutes.
